Yesterday we started talking about coins. We are leaning about pennies and nickels. To help us remember some facts about pennies we learned this new poem!

Penny penny
Easily spent
Copper brown
And worth one cent!

Since we have learned all the letters of the alphabet (Yayyy!) we are moving onto letter blends - two letters that make a different sound when they are together in a word. This week we have been learning the sound that /sh/ makes. Today we practiced the tongue twister 'She Sells Seashells' and highlighted all the /sh/ we could find!

She sells seashells by the seashore.
The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore.
I'm sure she sells seashore sells.
